Help & Documentation
What is a Bookmarklet?
A bookmarklet is a bookmark stored in a web browser that contains JavaScript code instead of a URL. When you click on the bookmark, it executes the code to perform a specific task on the current webpage.
Our tool helps you create a bookmarklet that will automatically insert a pre-defined command into the CrowdStrike RTR console and make it easy to run your most-used commands.
For more information, you can search online for "how to create a bookmarklet" to learn more about the concept and how to add it to your browser's bookmarks bar.
How to Use This Tool
Enter a **Short Name** for each command. This name will appear in the bookmarklet's dropdown menu.
Enter the **Full Command** you want to execute in the CrowdStrike RTR console.
Click the **Generate Bookmarklet** button.
A box with the bookmarklet code will appear. You can either drag the CrowdStrike icon to your bookmarks bar or click the **Copy to Clipboard** button.
Once saved, you can go to any CrowdStrike RTR session and click your new bookmarklet to run the commands. The bookmarklet icon on the page will bring up a menu with your saved commands.
